HALIBUT

At the time of this writing, approximately 49% of this year’s halibut TAC has been landed, with over half of 3A and 2C harvested thus far. Ex-vessel prices remain strong. Fishing reports remain inconsistent. Demand has slowed somewhat across the board but sales of 3A, 3B, and 2C have continued throughout . We expect available unfished quota to drive sales over the next couple of months.

SABLEFISH

At the time of this writing, approximately 45% of the sablefish TAC has been landed. Most areas are averaging 50% of the allocation caught, with the exception of AI at only 9%. Quota sales have remained slow through the summer months. Sales are expected to pick up as salmon season wraps up and efforts turn to longlining. Availability for unblocked quota remains high. Buying opperunity with reduced asking prices in areas CG, SE, WG, and WY.
