HALIBUT

At the time of this writing, approximately 60% of the halibut TAC has been landed, with at least 35% remaining in all areas except 2C. We continue to receive reports of slow fishing on the grounds. Dock prices continue their slight downward trend. There have been no sales of halibut quota in the last month. We hope that market activity will increase following some recent price reductions on available quota.

SABLEFISH

At the time of this writing, only 46% of the sablefish TAC has been landed. There has still been no significant sales activity as we transition into fall. The reports we have received indicate good fishing, but grade and ex-vessel price continue to lag. There continues to be some interest from buyers, but asking prices have not adjusted to current market conditions. It seems increasingly likely that a significant amount of the TAC will go unharvested
