HALIBUT

Sales of halibut quota remain steady. Activity has been concentrated in areas 3A and 3B. Buying opportunities remain in 4A and 4B. Availablity of unblocked 2C remains very low. Fishing reports continue to be positive. We expect sales to remain steady through the fall.

SABLEFISH

Sales of sablefish quota have remained slow but steady. Buyers continue to inquire about quota, particularly unfished. Sales have occurred at reduced asking prices. Buying opportunities exist in SE and WY as unfished quota remains available. We expect an increase in activity in the fall.
