HALIBUT

Little activity has occurred  between the end of the season and the time of this writing.  Survey results indicated downward trends in most areas except 3B and 4A.  Demand still remains strong for unblocked quota in areas 3A and 3B.  Market activity will likely increase as the season approaches.

SABLEFISH

Sablefish quota prices have steadily declined over the past year.  However, the increase in the TAC for 2020 has resulted in some optimism, despite concerns about ex-vessel prices.  The majority of market activity has occurred in CG and SE.  Sales activity is expected to increase over the coming month.
