HALIBUT

At the time of this writing IPHC recommendations have been made and the 2025 halibut season is approaching. Significant reductions were made to harvest levels in all areas, with cuts of 22% in 3A, 17% in 3B, and 12% in 2C. It's yet to be seen whether reduced TACs will result in improved ex-vessel prices. We expect market activity to continue to increase in advance of the season.

SABLEFISH

Market activity for sablefish IFQ has increased slightly in advance of the 2025 season. Asking prices for IFQ have consistently declined over the past number of seasons and it's possible we've reached the bottom of the market. Sales are currently pending in SE, CG, and WG and we expect sales activity to continue through the beginning of the season. Ex-vessel price will largely determine sales volume for the remainder of the season.
