HALIBUT

At the time of this writing approximately 35% of the 2024 Halibut TAC has been landed, with most effort concentrated in Areas 2C, 3A and 3B. Ex-vessel price has been inconsistent. Quota sales have slowed significantly in the last month. Availability of Halibut QS remains high, including in Areas 2C and 3B.. We expect limited quota transactions through the summer.

SABLEFISH

There are very few changes to report. Harvest efforts continue to be focused in CG, SE and WY. Total landings are 30% of the TAC, up from 26% last month, and there has been no new market activity for sablefish quota in that time. Sellers continue to reduce prices incrementally, but that has yet to spark much interest among prospective buyers.
