Vessel Features

World famous Skookum motorsailer built in 1976 in Port Townsend, Washington. She was mostly a sailing vessel until about 2015 when it was purchased and converted to fish, salmon and tuna. However, it was never used as a commercial vessel. After that owner passed it was hauled out in Charleston, Oregon and completely gone through and brought back to a great sailing/fishing vessel again. It was launched in September of 2024. It has a 2500 watt inverter with house batteries, two new starting batteries and lots of electronics, new in 2015 but never really used. The sails are reported to be in good condition. The jib-and flying jib-booms with all the stays are included. All the forward rigging goes with the boat. The 95 hp Volvo diesel has about 6,500 hours on it and runs great. It was reported to burn 1 to 1.5 gallons per hour at 7 knots without sails and 9 knots with sail assist. Fuel capacity is 400 gallons, water is 400 gallons and a holding tank of 40 gallons.
