HALIBUT

At the time of this writing approximately 46% of the 2024 Halibut TAC has been landed, with most effort concentrated in Areas 2C, 3A and 3B with increased effort in Area 4A. Ex-vessel price has been inconsistent. Quota sales have slowed significantly in the last month. Most recent sales in Area 3A. Availability of Halibut QS remains high, including in Areas 2C and 3B.

SABLEFISH

There are very few changes to report. Harvest efforts continue to be focused in CG, SE and WY with increased effort in WG. Total landings are 35% of the TAC, up from 30% last month. There has been no new market activity for sablefish quota to report. Sellers continue to reduce prices incrementally, but that has yet to spark much interest among prospective buyers.
